Hi there,

first of all happy new year!

My problem is this: Whatever stream type (itunes, realplayer, pop up) I try, my computer gets sooooooooooo
slow I practically can't use it anymore. Do you have any idea what the cause could be?

thanks a lot in advance
Chris

no idea chris, lets see if the boss has some solution. does it happen only with our stream? have you tested, eg, a bbc player, or xfm or similar?

Hi again,

with bbc player, you mean a player from the station BBC?
The only other podcasts I listen to are those from WFMU but with them I don't have the same problems.
That's why I'm wondering.

I remember that I used your Realplayer stream in the past
without any problems, so I wonder whether you changed something to the strams in December?

Still hope that someone can help
thanks again
Chris

Hi Buster,

my operating system is Windows XP with SP3.
And I recently installed a new version of my antivirus software, i.e. I updated to ESET Version 5.

As the internet is generally better today I just tried it again...... what a wonder ...
it seems perfect now. So, I guess that our provider had a general problem. I don't know why it
didnt affect the WMFU player, but whatever the reason I'M HAPPY AGAIN.

Thanks a lot & all the best for 2012
Chris
