With the precious help of 60s beat consultant Marco "Mads" Pertusati I've just selected abt 80 mins of bands and artists from UK and Usa, singing in Italian. A great mix of 45 and album tracks I will play it during my "show" at Mod Radio Uk friday 10 sept, including Small Faces (my first MRUK "theme tune" 7 years ago! un...released at the time) The Move, Procol Harum, Yardbirds, Zombies, Monkees, Grapefruit, Georgie Fame, Tom Jones, a few Tamlas and Atlantic soul, and lot more. I had to choose from a list of a hundred titles (some tracks from famous names were excluded cos really boring "romantic italian melodies", unfit for a mod station). Amongst the most obvious choices (Stones, Bowie etc) the mighty Brain Auger with his Black Cat single, recorded in Italian here in Milano at the "Bang Bang Club".
